If you're a thrifter, there you probably already have heard of Goodwill. But in case you haven't, Goodwill Industries International is an American nonprofit organization with more than 2,800 retail stores in Canada, American, and abroad. They say their mission is to enhance people’s dignity and quality of life by strengthening their communities, eliminating their barriers to opportunity, and helping them reach their full potential through learning and the power of work and have served more than 1 million individuals worldwide and helped more than 126,000 people train for careers in a variety of industries.
Washington DC has one Goodwill retail store on South Dakota Ave, which also doubles as a donation center. This establishment has a 4/5 review on yelp. It's a great place to browse affordable clothing, furniture, and other unique goods, and if you're looking to get rid of some clothes the donation center is right there. This store also has an online shopping option. On their website you can shop for toys, shoes, jewelry, books, art, and games.
