Depop is another online marketplace that prides themselves on being diverse and less wasteful than other shopping options. Like Etsy, Depop is used by millions of people. Depop's main focus is on upcycled and thrifted clothing. With such a large number of sellers, the online store is full of endless items such as, tops, dresses, show, outerwear, and bags. The app is easy to use and is set up very similarly to other social media models, like Instagram. However, not all aspects of Depop are a 10/10.

When researching user reviews of the app and it's services I found a divided response. I found that all of the complaints and negative reviews came from people who had purchased things through the app, and the majority of positive reviews came from sellers. A lot of the complaints from buyers had to do with poor customer service, over charging through PayPal, and packages not arriving.
That being said, I also know a lot of people who have used Depop and were satisfied with their experience. I recommend only buying from stores that have a high number of sales and good reviews. Since, transactions take place between the buyer and sellers on the app, there is not much Depop will do if you get ripped off by someone who is just trying to make a couple bucks off their old clothes.
